This article details how to grade students' submissions using rubrics.
Grade Submissions Using Rubrics
- Open a relevant submission in Handin.
- Click on the drop-downs in the rubric section to the right, to reveal descriptors.
- Choose relevant marks in each criterion.
- Feel free to add a voice recording / written feedback using the Add feedback button.
- You can round the grade up or down by clicking on the current total grade.
- Confirm with Save.
Note
- Rubrics in Handin always produce a grade as a percentage.
- When grading using a rubric, points awarded for each criterion are automatically calculated and shown at the bottom of the rubric. This is expressed as:
- Points awarded / total points available (on the left),
- The grade as a percentage (on the right).
- You will be able to override the final percentage grade as needed.
