This article outlines the process of grading students' submissions using rubrics.
How to Grade Submissions Using Rubrics
Open the relevant Handin assignment.
On the Handin page, find the submission you want to grade.
In the Rubric section on the right, open the dropdowns to view the descriptors.
Select the appropriate mark for each criterion.
You can add a voice recording or written feedback using Add feedback.
If needed, adjust the final grade by clicking the current total grade and rounding up or down.
Click Save to confirm.
Note
Rubrics in HandIn always calculate a percentage grade.
-
When you grade using a rubric, the points awarded for each criterion are automatically totalled and shown at the bottom of the rubric as:
Points awarded / total points available (left), and
Percentage grade (right).
You can override the final percentage grade if needed.
