This article explains how educators can export and import individual pages between spaces in Aula using a JSON file, which keeps the page content together.
Export Individual Pages
To export a single page from a specific Aula space, follow the steps below:
- In the space you want to export the page from, navigate to that Space and click on Materials tile.
- Open the relevant page by clicking through the Materials sidebar to your left.
- Click on the 3 dots symbol (⋮) in the top right corner of the page and click Export page.
-
Select a relevant location to download the .json file to your computer. You do not need to open the .json file.
Note
An entire Section cannot be exported from a space.
Import Individual Pages
Once you've exported your page from your space, or if you have a JSON file exported from a different platform, you can import it to a relevant space in Aula.
- In the space that you'd like to import the Materials page to, gnavigate to that Space and click on Materials tile.
- Open a relevant page by clicking through the Materials sidebar to your left, or create a new page.
- Click on the 3 dots symbol (⋮) in the top right corner of the page and click Import page.
- Select a relevant .json file from your computer. Again, no need to open the .json file.
Note
Imported content is added below existing content. Importing does not replace any current materials.
Some items do not transfer between spaces and must be recreated manually. These include assignment links, LTI blocks, and files, as they are unique to each space.
If you import a JSON file created from material page that includes a discussion topic, the discussion topic will also be imported. However, comments are not imported - only the discussion topic itself.
