To export grades from the Student Success App to the Student Records system, you must first map your assignments to an assessment item. Once the mapping is complete, you can export the grades.
Map an Assignment to an Assessment Item
Before you can export grades to your Student Records system, you need to associate or map the relevant assignment/s to the correct assessment item.
Ideally, you have already done this towards the start of the semester so that students get visibility of which assignments are formative vs. summative and how those summative grades are calculated.
However, if you haven’t already done this, you can do it afterward. Follow these instructions:
Navigate to your space and click the Assignments tile.
Click Student Success App.
Click the title of an assessment item.
Use the dropdown to select which assignment(s) will compose the final grade.
Click Save. You can then click the assessment item again to confirm which assignment(s) have been mapped.
Map Multiple Assignments to an Assessment Item
If you need to map more than one assignment to an assessment item, follow these instructions:
Navigate to your space and click the Assignments tile.
Click Student Success App.
Click the title of an assessment item.
Use the dropdown to select an assignment.
Click Add an assignment and select another assignment. (Repeat as needed.)
Add a percentage weight for each assignment so the total equals 100%.
Click Save. You can then click the assessment item again to confirm which assignments are mapped to it.
Note
- We recommend that you set up the mapping at the beginning of semester to make it clear to students which assignments count towards their final grade for the course, and which are formative only.
