This article will guide you on how to update your profile settings in Aula. This enables you to manage your profile photo, user status, notification settings, and shows you how to log out of your Aula account. Read on to find out how to access and update these settings.
Update Your Profile Photo
- Click on My profile on the top left corner of the Aula platform.
- Click on your profile icon again to launch the upload dialog.
- Select a picture from your computer and confirm with Open.
- You're all done! You may need to refresh the page to see the changes.
Note
To make sure your upload goes smoothly, please choose a square-shaped .jpg or .png file. At the moment it isn't possible to crop a profile photo directly within Aula.
Remove Your Profile Photo
If you wish to remove your picture, please upload a blank image. If you'd like to remove it entirely, feel free to get in touch with us at support@aula.ac.uk and we'll be able to delete it on the backend. It will then be replaced with a default profile icon.
Set A Status
In Aula, you can set up your status that other users will see in their conversations with you. This is especially helpful to notify others when you are away, out of the office, or have limited availability.
- Click on My profile on the top left corner of the Aula platform.
- Under the Status tab, select a status emoji and/or write a custom status up to 100 characters.
- Click on Set status to save your changes
- Other users will see your status below your name in their conversations window with you.
Log Out Of Aula
To log out of your Aula account, click on your profile icon in the top left corner of the Aula platform and then on Log out at the bottom left of the profile settings.
Update Your Name
- If you’d like to change your name in Aula, get in touch with our Support Team at support@aula.ac.uk and we might be able to edit it for you on our end.
- If your institution’s Aula environment is linked with the University Student Record System, your name will have to be updated on that end first, to avoid it switching back. In that case, please contact your university’s Registry.
