This article will guide you on how to use the desktop version of Aula on your Mobile device and tablet.
There are certain features available on Aula's web app which are not currently available on the mobile app. These include:
- Editing messages and posts,
- Editing materials,
- Educator Area,
- Reviewing submissions, grading and providing feedback.
(Students can still view grades on mobile via the Student Success App)
The Product Team is working on bringing the feature parity to the mobile app. In the meantime, you can access the full web app functionality on your mobile device by visiting Aula in your web browser.
iPhone And iPad (Safari)
- Head to http://general.aula.education/.
- Click on the AA symbol in the bottom left corner of the browser.
- Select Request Desktop Website.
Note
While using the desktop version of the mobile app on IOS, the operating system sometimes detects that the Aula app is installed and redirects the user to the app instead. This behaviour is ultimately controlled by the OS and is subject to change after an OS update or a browser update. If you wish to use the web app instead of the mobile app, one workaround for this behaviour is to uninstall the mobile app or you can use an alternate browser to see if that works.
Android Devices (Chrome)
- Head to http://general.aula.education/.
- Tap on the three dots icon in the top right corner to open the menu.
- Check the Desktop site option.
Note
If you do not have the simplified view enabled, you might not see the option to request a desktop version. Here's how to change this:
- Tap on the three dots icon in the top right corner to open the menu.
- Select Settings > Accessibility.
- Check on the Simplified view for web pages option.
- Open any website in Chrome and tap on the bar at the bottom saying Show simplified view.
