Educators and students often belong to multiple spaces and managing them is time consuming and also leads to confusion of which spaces are relevant. While educators and students might need every space, all spaces may not be equally important.
This is why we've rolled out a new enhancement to the space selector to help organize your spaces and make it easier for you to find the right one!
Categories
The new space selector allows users to see their spaces in 4 categories:
- Current academic year
- Upcoming academic year
- Previous academic year
- Communities and training
How Spaces are Categorized
Aula relies on the start dates saved in your institution's record/registry system.
- If a start date is between 1st of Sep, 2022 and 31st of August 2023, the academic year shown is 2022/23.
- If a space does not have a start date (i.e. manually created - e.g Open Aula space / Non-Credit bearing module), it will show under Communities & Training.
FAQ

Only users whose institution sets module start and end date information record/registry system will see this new enhancement.

You'll need to contact your institution's registry team and request them to change the start and/or end date of the module.
I'm not seeing the "Upcoming academic year" category. How come?
If your institution hasn't added you to upcoming modules, you won't see this category.
